Middle School onward - Own the process!!!

Young students benefit from a hands-on, nuts-and-bolts approach to help understand the curriculum and performance expectations. Every academic task— requires time management and intentional effort. We work on clarifying what this means so that meet ups are progessively productive.

  • We build on the meta-cognitive skills and abilities that keep students organized, focused, and in control.

  • We use the executive function paradigm to frame tasks and effort: everything in school takes time and effort. Previewing assignements and figuring out how much time and what sort of effort is key.

We learn how to manage challenges; understand how to concentrate, develop work arounds to procrastination, confusion or cognitive overload. We learn how to evaluate and manage our own performance expectations.
